STEVE ROACH
I bet many of you don’t know who Steve Roach is, or that he has been doing music since the early 80′s. If you have the time, listen to his music with an open heart and a clear mind… and be prepared to be amazed. Anyway, while I was working on this post I was going to write about the music of John Williams, Thomas Newman, Hans Zimmer and how their art has influenced me… but Steve Roach’s music was playing when my kid came and said he liked the music a lot. So “A Deeper Silence” began and we both sat on a yoga mat, I told him to listen to the music and tell me how his feelings were. “I can feel my heart and my brain”, he said, and I can tell Mr. Roach has a new fan.
